CXM Coaxial high torque gears 1 step

The CXM serie geared engine reducers are characterized by the position of both coaxial input and output shafts and are made up on one helical gearsets. Their main particularity, is their great compactness and silence when working.

The quality of the materials used together with the certified ISO-9001 standard quality assurances system, lend this series a high degree of reliability that ensures its integration and adaptation to the medium.

Construction Features

The CXM Series consists of helical inline gear reducers with a single gear stage, designed to provide maximum efficiency, precision, and robustness in a compact format.

  • Gears:
Manufactured from F-1540 carburized and ground steel, with a surface hardness of 58–60 HRC and finished to DIN 3962 quality class 6, ensuring quiet, precise, and durable power transmission.
  • Shafts:
Made from F-1250 hardened steel, with a hardness of 56–59 HRC, providing excellent wear resistance and high load capacity.
  • Housing:
Built from GG-25 grey cast iron for all sizes, offering high structural rigidity and excellent behavior under vibration and dynamic loads.

  • Seals and Bearings:
Equipped with Nitrile Butadiene Rubber (NBR) seals according to DIN 3760, and high-precision bearings, ensuring tight sealing and smooth operation.
  • Surface Protection:
Finished with a two-component epoxy primer and two-component single-coat enamel in gray RAL 7031, providing excellent protection against corrosion and environmental wear.

Result: compact, reliable, and competitive gear reducers — ideal for industrial applications requiring high efficiency, low noise, and minimal maintenance.

Gear Reducer Installation

To ensure optimal performance and extend the service life of the unit, follow these recommendations:

  1. Mount the gear reducer on a perfectly flat, rigid, and stable surface, avoiding deformation or unwanted vibration.
  2. For irregular loads, frequent starts, or shock conditions, use flexible couplings, clutches, or torque limiters.
  3. If additional painting is applied to the assembly, protect the shaft seals to prevent drying or loss of sealing capacity.
  4. Components fitted to the output shaft must comply with ISO H7 or h6 tolerances, for both solid and hollow shaft versions.

 Maintenance

The CXM-57, CXM-67, CXM-77, and CXM-87 gear reducers are factory-filled with permanent lubrication, eliminating the need for regular maintenance.

For special models or versions without permanent lubrication, the following procedure is recommended:

  • Perform the first oil change after 300 hours of operation.
  • Carry out internal cleaning with a flushing oil such as RENOCLEAN HISTOL (FUCHS) or equivalent.
  • Afterwards, change the oil every 4,000 operating hours and check the level periodically.
  • Do not mix mineral and synthetic oils, to prevent chemical incompatibility.

 Lubrication

The CXM-57, CXM-67, CXM-77, and CXM-87 models are supplied with factory-applied permanent lubrication, using high-quality refined oils formulated with additives for:

  • Oxidation resistance
  • Anti-wear protection
  • Metal protection (iron, copper, and alloys)

These lubricants meet the following international standards:

  • CLP DIN 51517-3
  • FZG level 12
  • API GL-4
  • US 224
  • AGMA 250-04

Thanks to their sealed-for-life lubrication, these gear reducers require no maintenance throughout their service life, ensuring reliable, efficient, and trouble-free operation.
